The British Pig Executive's (BPEX) Export Bulletin for the second week of December 2011 reports pig industry trends from around the world. Among the highlights are that European pork exports broke a new record with 325,000 tonnes in September, according to the European Commission.
Exports were up 22 per cent so far this year, with volumes to Russia, Hong Kong, mainland China, Japan and Korea doing exceptionally well.
