Broiler Meat
Total South America broiler meat production is estimated to have increased 81% from 2001 to 2011. Because estimated broiler meat production for Brazil has increased 97% for the same time frame Brazil’s share of total broiler meat production has increased from 70% in 2001 to 77% in 2011. Even though Argentina’s broiler meat production, the next largest South American broiler meat producer, is estimated to be 10% of South America’s production in 2011, their production has increased 95% from 2001-2011.
